My Mission + How I got the Job

Dec 8, 2024

My Mission

Simple - I hate mid (average). Whether it’s improving myself, helping others, or contributing to my community, I’m driven to make things better. I hate seeing people work so hard but still struggle to afford daily needs. I hate the state of Nigeria—no stable light, no reliable internet, and too many of us stuck in a cycle we didn’t ask for.
That’s why I want to empower as many people as I can so we can team up and fix these issues around us. I know it sounds big and maybe impossible, but:
Little drops form the mighty ocean. 🌊
If 100 or even 1,000 of us help each other grow, we’ll see a ripple effect. More of us will rise, and more of us will start solving these problems together. For now, let’s start small.
We can help startups abroad, stack some money, and use that to build our own solutions right here. One step at a time.
I sincerely believe we can do better, because we actually have no other choice.

A Bit About Me

Hi there, Yes I’m that Goody-the note guy. I did the CIL, ECN and other notes. You can see my full collection here. 🤗
I’m also the founder of PQ Library and creator of the Telegram Material Library aka Tekky Library.
I finished with a 2,1. I never got that many As neither was I a scholar. I just enjoyed seeing my efforts help others get the results they wanted. I also still disliked school work till the very end.
A bit more about my School Motivations
I thought I would land a job after completing ALX Africa, only for Nigeria to show me reality. 🙂
I came back to school for the following reasons:
  • I had nothing else to do.
  • My Parents deeply wanted me to finish.
  • I wanted to build connections.
With all these I mind, I simply aimed to maintain my 2:1, while helping as many people as I could. I also managed to discover my love for writing along the way.
I’m sharing all these as further prove of my commitment towards helping others grow.
In the year 2022, I sent a letter to my Dad regarding the difficult economic situation and why I would love to defer and focus on ALX Africa. It’s quite long though but you’d get to see how bad my writing skills were back then. I sent that letter exactly two years ago on the same November I got this job. I still find it so ironical. 😅
I link the letter somewhere in this article. Keep reading till the end if you’d like to read it. 😌
I know most of you wonder why my face never shows in any of these. It might be because I might still be a shy guy or I just don’t want popularity as I fear that it might get to my head and distract me from my mission.
Anyway, I love great people and great products. I’d much rather invest in great people and great products — I will do anything for anyone or anything that makes live considerable easier for anyone.

Try New Things - Break the Chains

We need to break out of the societal/parental chains that limit our thinking/creativity.
Let's try new things. It’s 2024. A certificate no longer guarantees anything.
Check out all the stories of these creators/business owners who all went against the norm and saw huge success.
  • Zeelicious - Nigerian lady that runs a cooking channel (1M+ followers). Followed her cooking passion after school.
  • Amara - Struggled for a long time before landing a Virtual Assistant job that pays $1k/mo.
  • Contour Cube - Had an amazing idea. She went with it and eventually quit her job.
After School, I tried so many things. Yes I have a YouTube channel that got over 14k views within 3 days. It’s one of the things I tried while job hunting.
I intend to build a community where we can freely do any of these things mentioned. You’d find more info about it in the guide I’ll share in the next section.

How I got my job

I used to be a super lazy, shy introvert. Okay, I’m still lazy—I always look for the easiest way to get things done. That’s why I gave up the standard or more popular routes to getting a job.
I came up with and executed a strategy from scratch. No past examples, no guarantees it would work. I didn’t know anyone who’d done it this way before.
But guess what? It worked.
Now, I’ve landed my first job, where even the standard NYSC salary is less than 30% of what I earn. I got mine within 2 weeks of following my strategy.
I’ll write a detailed article soon about how I personally got my job. For now, I’ve prepared a guide you can follow or draw inspiration from to go after yours. Read it here. Please read this post to the end before you go. 🙏

Support Me 💙

In my current role, I’m helping my company with social media marketing—one of the most valuable skills for almost any business. And that’s just one of my tasks.
I’m still learning the ropes, but you know me—once I figure things out, I’ll share everything I learn with you.
Right now, I create content about life skills we all need: communication, building friendships/relationships, health tips, and more. These are real tips I’ve applied in my daily life, and honestly, they’ve changed everything for me this past year (2024). Here’s what I promised earlier btw.
I would also be sharing some really cool AI tools that you'd definitely find helpful. Did you know about leonardo.ai? You can generate AI images for completely free.
✨ I’ve grown so much—I’ve made amazing friends (like you!), built a stronger relationship with my dad, and finally landed a job!
If this type of content speaks to you, I’d love your support on X | TikTok | Blue Sky
⚠️ Heads up: Following without engaging can actually hurt me—the algorithm might think my content isn’t worth showing to others. So, only follow if you truly enjoy it and want to engage (likes, comments, shares, etc.). Your support means so much! 💙

FAQ

I don’t have any skills?
Well have you heard of admin tasks? These are simple tasks with zero learning curve that business owners must do. Often times, they’d rather spend their time doing more impactful tasks. Examples:
  • Working with Google Sheets/Ms Excel (They usually have to process some form of data).
  • Customer Support: They’d usually get flooded with questions and any tech-savvy person can answer them.
  • Social Media Posts: Well this might require a bit more skill/experience but extra props for you if you know how to do it though.
I can’t list them all. You just need to analyse anyone you find and see what you can do to save their time or make life easier for them. Join my community and I’ll help you find your way.
