X Growth Strategy

Mar 2, 2025
Letter to my friend
Dear friend,
Please kindly read this and deeply reflect on it. I write this out of love and concern for your growth..
I’ve known you for more than 2 years now and I find you to be a truly cheerful, positive and outgoing person. You love to spread joy and you have lived by it for the longest time.
My concerns stem from your attitude towards your job hunt. I believe you’re doing the best you think you can but are you really though? Are you truly doing as much as humanly possible?
I told another friend of mine of your situation and he laughed saying, how can one be jobless as a tech bro when there are so many opportunities. I almost disagreed but I had to agree as I now see that is truly the case.
To prove that it really is the case, I’ve now decided that I would help you draft a strategy (if you’re interested) to be executed within 3 months.

X Growth Strategy

This is a 3-step plan to game X and more than guarantee one’s success on X. It only works if you truly putting your very best into all 3 steps.
  1. Group Engagement
  1. Comment early on popular people in your niche.
  1. Make quality posts.

1. Group Engagement

The purpose of this group is to give one the initial boost needed for visibility, as part of Goody’s 3 step X-growth strategy.
We will set some group guidelines to ensure everyone is properly incentivized to engage each other’s posts.
  • Follow and don’t unfollow.
  • Like and give genuine a comment (ofc you’re free to give low-effort comments :) but don’t be surprised when you get same energy).
  • Share (use the share button from X) in 3 groups on any platform you’re most active in.
The energy you give the world is what you get back. It becomes exponential the more genuine you are. I’ve personally experienced this myself.
Of course, you’re free to spam the group with your posts, but you must note that people in the group may not engage with your posts if you don’t do same for them. The more effort you put into engaging others post, the more you will get in return.
Personally, I will only give each person 3 chances. This means, I will like, comment and share your post at most 3 times. Once I don’t see equivalent efforts reciprocated, I will stop.
I also would unfollow after 3 days of inactivity. Hopefully that would motivate you to stay consistent.
Group Engagement Guidelines
  • Make sure your group username is same as on X, so that you’re easily recognized or remembered.
  • Each time you engage, make sure you reply to the post in in the group (you can say what u did or send picture proof) so people are made aware of your efforts. This increases the chances of others helping you when you share yours. Of course, the more active you are, the more people would want to help you - just so you can help them too.
  • Each of us is advised to be active in at least 3 other tech-related groups on any platform, so we can expand our reach.
Mini Challenge - 30 Days of X
Please use the format #30X Day 1 in your first 30 days:
  • 1 is the day
  • #30X means 30 days of X
Examples: #30X Day 1, #30X Day 2, #30X Day 3…
I chose a rly short tag to help us stay within character limits and I usually prefer to keep names short and punchy.

2. Comment Early On Popular People in Your Niche

There’s an X phrase called the “reply guy”. Someone studied the entire X open source algo and learnt that X wants you to engage as much as possible. So if you want to steal audience from established folks in your niche, make sure to make thoughtful comments very early on their posts. Turn on notifs for their posts for maximum effect. I advice you to do this for about 3-9 of them based on your time or appetite for work.

3. Make Quality Posts

Judiciously following the number 2 above may guarantee you at least 300 views enough to give that initial boost and get seen by enough people. If your posts lacks quality or depth, then all your efforts will be for naught.
You have to study what works, you can even copy popular posts and give it your own twist. Steal like an artist, they say. Keep trying multiple styles to find what works.
This will be my personal Content Strategy:
  1. Gather ideas during the week and schedule posts for the whole week every Sunday.
  1. Post a useful thread weekly.
  1. Share a helpful blog post or video monthly.
My main niche is AI & Coding mostly, but in general, I’m aiming for anything Tech in general cuz that’s what I love.
